86 K10 Emissions issues

Recently bought an 86 K10 for my son that has had all the emission equipment taken off of it. Unfortunately where we live we have to pass a smog test and they are HARSH. I have most of the stuff to put back on, but have run into some snags along the way.
I have been reading and reading about the issues I am having, but can't seem to find the answers so I am turning to the Gods to hopefully help me out.

Did the 86's with the FED emissions (NON-CA) have an O2 sensor? The wiring diagram shows it and also shows the lead being purple. But I can't find that wire ANYWHERE.

I have the correct M4MED carb, but do not have the ESC distributor. From what I have read the plug going to the carb just controls the amount of fuel the accelerator pump delivers. Is that correct? Do I need the ESC distributor for all of that to work together? I also need to find the wiring from the choke to the carb, and then to the coolant sensor. That is missing.

Besides installing the airpump and correct manifolds with air tubes, is there anything else that I am missing?
Does anyone have photos of their engine with everything still intact?

I know this stuff has been asked before, but I am beating my head reading all the threads. Thanks guys!

Here is a picture of my 88 R30 and my sons 86 K10.
