Mounting a tablet
I'm thinking about semi-permanently using a 7" android tablet running torque with my OBD2 dongle - at least until I have some cash for a Dakota digital setup.
Both my fuel gauge (dead) and speedo (mechanical) are inoperable after my LS swap and funds have been tight. I'm trying to come up with a way to mount it using the top of the dash and clamping to the column. A suction-cup/window mount would take up a lot of viewing area through the windshield. Thinking industriously, it would be pretty cool to graft one into a glovebox door and replace my dash cluster entirely with it. No oil pressure output on the PCM though... Anyone ever tried something similar?
