Helper springs hitting now that its lowered

I installed a new set of 5" lower rear springs the other night and noticed the helper leafs are hitting or pretty close to it by 1/4 in. Do they need to be removed? I am also looking at adding an additional 1 block to get to 6 inch drop. Will this help too?
Also while taking things apart I notice the right shock mounting hole was worn out and oval and should be replaced. If I add a shock relocator kit do I need to replace the origanal bracket or does the kit supply it? Thansk
