Carb linkage doohickey
On my 70 402 the linkage rod hooks into the pedal arm and THREADS into a fitting at the carb. This is backwards from my big block cars, but it's what the assembly manual says.
Anyway, there's a fitting that bolts to the carb that the throttle rod then threads through, so you can adjust the throttle linkage by removing it from the pedal rod and turning the linkage rod in that threaded carb fitting. For some reason my truck was almost entirely unmolested except the kickdown and throttle linkage, which was brutally home made by (I can only assume) a farmer with a stick welder. So, I do not have one. I might have had one and lost it, but I've given up. Anyone know where I can find one? Seems like it should be a commonly lost part, but I can't find a replacement.
