Shift linkage

Agh!! How does this dang shift linkage go in for the 3ott! I have the trans in neutral as far as I know the center of each arm I'm thinking I have the wrong shift linkage?

I'm working in the shop today and have so many question grr.

Can I grab a brake booster from any half ton of this generation?
Are there cheap sound deadener? I have heard people talk of peel and seal.
Did you guys re use your fire wall insulated panels or just do a full dynomat?
Has anyone made a wood or their own dash panel?
What have people done when the need to replace the interior of the glove box?
