Big Block Intake Question

Hi all,

I am having my factory 402BB rebuilt soon. Although I am having some internal mods done for more horsepower I would like to maintain a stock look.

I now have a line on a intake taken off a 1972 Chevelle SS LS3 454cu engine. At a first glance they look Identical. The intake will be about 100 dollars for me to purchase.

Can anyone comment on if this would be a good intake over the factory one I have already. Do you think there would be much of an increase in horsepower? How about the price is that a bit high?

Thank you
