drop spindles or shackles...

I'm ready to lower my 86 for better handling and ride. I understand when lowering the front with springs it affects the suspensions geometry and angle so drop spindles from what I hear are more sufficient. For the rear I thought to just add lowering shackles. How much trouble and what tools would I need for drop spindles ??? Only want to drop maybe 2" in front and maybe 3" at the rear.....I do have there's 2500 heavy duty model, not sure if it makes it harder or not, eight lug hubs....Name: 20140830_190933.jpg
