1958 napco
Just picked up a 58 napco this weekend at the local swap meet. Figured id check in here and announce my treasure. The truck has been sitting for 20 some years, it is currentyl down to a bare cab, front clip and engine and axles. It is original napco drivetrain, however i dont believe the bodybis orignal to the frame, the frame has some rust pitting on it and the cab damn near looks like it rolled off the assembly line its so rust free. Looks like someone really loved this truck at one point, tons and tons of. N.o.s. Parts, all the trim, chrome, panels, its all there to complete the truck. The truck has a 402 bbc and th400 teanny with the original spicer tcase. Plans for the truck is to restore it after my 70 chevy is done, truck wont need much work in all honesty, a quick media blast and some paint will shine it up like a new penny. Not sure what im doing for drivetrain right now, i want to build the truck into something i can take to the sand dunes, and also to the county fair to truck pull in street stock. What do you guys think for a front axle? Take it out and swap in a dana 44/60, or try to find parts to revuild it and run the truck like that. Part of me wants to keep the truck all napco, but id really kick myself if i broke any of the napco parts.
