Could we ask you 60-66, to leave a truck alone and not touch it, so other guys who do not pay you, can profit from the original source, of an untouched purchase? How much are you willing to spend for someone with one of these trucks to give you a glimpse of how it came originally so you can restore your vehicle, then turn around and sell theirs with no financial gain to you?
A Museum piece, like these trucks were originally, could be kept for future generations to be able to observe after paying their entry fee. But at what cost? Especially to the owner like the guy above.
So say you own one of these and it doesn't run? Garage it behind a pane of glass and never physically enjoy your purchase?
Imagine the guys who would show up at your place unannounced, to steal from your purchase, the knowledge of finish materials and what fasteners went where etc.
Either you use it, display it at a profit, or tell no one, like a painting by the masters that hangs in a controlled room!
At my age now, seeing what has been done to other trucks and mine as well, good quality or bad, I'd leave it alone.
