rack n pinon

Hello;

Has anyone tryed to put a rack n pinon on a S10 front end when changing over to the 50 model body style?

The reason I'm asking is that I have the body n fenders on my project, the front end set right in the fenders but the radiator will have to be set at an angle to fit under the hood.( See pic on Frankenstine build).

Thinking a rack n pinon would let me do away with the gear box n all the steering assy.

That would let me use the radiator support out of the 50 model front end.

Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.
