Re: 1970 c10 SWB - Project "Toad"

And now for todays snag...

The Hotchkis shock relocation bracket for the drivers side interferes with the clutch Z-bar frame bracket. Apparently this kit was not designed for a manual transmission truck, or at least one with a manual linkage. I was going to try to modify the bracket so they would both work, then decided it wasn't worth it.

I already have a TKO 600 to put behind the 383, so, I guess this forces my hand on upgrading to a hydraulic clutch.

Shock re-locaters installed

And the final shot of everything together.

Ran out of light and found the inner wheel bearings from my brake kit were rusted solid still sealed in the bag

Installing the hubs will have to wait until another day. It was beer time by then anyway.

Hopefully next weekend I can align the engine mounts and drop the 383 onto the frame.

Thanks for reading!
