9.58 @ 138.86
Well got some passes out yesterday.
Best motor pass was 10.6x @ 126.x with a 1.64 60'.. Changes from my 10.38 pass: Went from 4.56 gear to 3.90 Went from 254/260 cam to 259/274, gained overlap which I am sure moved peak TQ up in RPM took 100lbs out I attribute the slow down to the gears, cam, and converter (4,800ish on motor) not being optimized together, well, at least for motor passes. First try at a bottle pass, the controller did not come on. Having fought with controllers in the passed, I bypassed it as I didn't want to be screwing with it all night. I think I have an EMI issue under WOT. Rolled in to the throttle to make sure things were good and cut a whopping 1.73 60' but ran my best MPH ever, 139.56 with a 9.9x.. Well that was very promising. Next pass I tried off the transbrake and the motor pulled an additional 10* timing due to false know. It fell flat on its face and I aborted the run. I ran it off the the foot brake again rolling in a little harder and it went 9.9x again at 138.x. Tightened the front shock 2 clicks and went off the t-brake again. 9.58 @ 138.86 spinning. It is lifting both fronts and unloading the radial on the way down. Slip attached. Tightened the front shocks 2 more clicks (now fully tight) and tried again. This time it blew the tires off even harder (2 cars with street tires went before me). By this time is was 9:35 and track closes at 10:00. I decided to wrap it up and be happy with those results.
