Ziebart preserved my bed paint, look!
My 1985 K/20 with 33k original miles was Ziebarted when it was new ( it's a wax oily tar type rust proofing ). It's nasty and they sprayed it everywhere . I have the receipt and it was done when the truck had 70 miles on it. They also put a bed liner in it and running boards at the same time. When I removed the bed liner I discovered they sprayed the inside of the bed with it before installing the bed liner. Well I wanted a painted bed, no bed liner. i found out diesel fuel will remove the Ziebart with some effort. Well it wasn't easy, but I did it! I removed all the Ziebart! The paint is like new, the liner did mess up the paint on the floor a little, but I'm ok with that. Check it out
