Headlight Warning Chime...
I know there are two camps on the Headlight and Key-In-Ignition warning chimes... those that removed them and those that don't have them and want them. I am in the latter camp with my 1974 C20.
Two things I seem to do, one more than the other, and that's leave my lights on after an early morning drive and getting out of the truck and leave the key ion the ignition. My 1974 C20 didn't come with any warning chimes and I don't even know if they were available. Doesn't really matter. I found this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxoQmIieVJE ) on YouTube and for less that $15 I can have a chime that goes off when I open the door and the lights are still on. It's not that horrible screeching sound, but the decent chime sound. I like that it can be wired to the door, making it a lot easier. As for the Key-in-Ignition warning, which I do far, far too often, I need to get a different chime and figure out how to do a simple install. In the "Jersey" video, you will see the bizarre location he chose for the chime (I'm thinking under my dash for the C20), making for a good chuckle, but the concept and information is good. So, to Radio Shack I go ( http://www.radioshack.com/80db-chime/2730071.html ) to get me a chime for $10.99!
