89 Crew Body on a 76 Single Frame Help needed

Calling all gear heads, I need some help!

I'm putting a 89 Crew Cab body on a 76 single cab, long bed frame - which in essence is the same thing as a suburban frame I suppose.

I thought it would be as simple as bolting the body mounts to the factory location, and then cutting the rear floor out for the body to sit lower where the frame rises, but it's not.

I had to modify the middle mounts to line up with the cabs body mount location. I got them bolted up and here's how it looks.

middle mounts

inside cab

rear sitting off about 10 inches

How do I get the body to sit lower? Seems like something more is going to have to happen than "just lowering" the mounts. What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance

**UPDATE**

I moved the he "middle mounts" down, to bring the body down, and it looks a bit better now, however the front and rear are off about 3".

So the only real option I know, to fix the issue, is to drill new holes for the front mount, and move the cross member in the rear, to get them to line up.

I was hoping, someone else that has done this job, could shed some real details/light on the over all process, before I go crazy and mess something up!!
