New heater core Vs. Old heater core - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 66 burb. I bought a new heater core from the local auto parts store but the core is a smaller in dimensions. The old one is longer than the new one. I called to confirm the correct part and they said yes. The research I have done so far on the internet tells me it is the correct part number. I could probably fab something up to make this work but I would prefer to have the correct heater core so that it has the full capabilities to heat up the entire cab.

Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Has anyone else had a similar issue? __________________ 1971 Chevrolet C10(78 motor), Longbed, 69 Bed I think Quadrajet 4 barrel 7043208, Th350 tranny, No A/C Various components are lightly to highly modified depending on the number of beers consumed prior to modifications performed.
