69 c20 lowering help.

I'm starting my front disc upgrade and lowering project soon on my 69 c20. Have some questions. I'm using a kit with a 2.5 inch drop spindle and going with a 1 inch drop spring. Can I keep the stock height shocks in front with that setup or do I need drop shocks? For the rear I'm going with a 5 inch drop spring. I know I need to relocate the shock mounts but as far as drop springs I read somewhere on here that I can use the same ones used on front side as drop shocks in the back. Is this true?
