90 degree fittings on fuel pump?

Hey guys , I might be beating a dead horse here but once again a search yielded nothing. I'm working on running the fuel line for a relatively stock 454. It's 3/8" line with a mechanical pump and an edelbrock performer carb plus an edelbrock inline filter. Is it advisable to have a 90* fitting coming straight out of the fuel pump like in the picture below? (Not my picture, stolen from another member for reference) With the fluid restriction that 90* fittings provide, would I be in danger of starving the engine for fuel or possible putting extra strain on the pump?
