How's my weld lookin
So I bought a miller 211 for Christmas. Got the tank, got a cart, auto dimming mask, gloves, etc....
I have also started a mII build thread on my 53 here. Now I will start by saying I have never welded and did not expect to just take it outa the box and weld. I have always been good at doing things myself and thought I know with some practice, I can do this. I have read so much here and on the web about people who just start welding stuff with no clue as to what they are doing. I ran a 220 line for the Miller. At first, I was having some troubles, mainly, getting a technique and feel. After weeks of welding scraps, I can see thru the mask more of what is gapping and feel better about doing it. I may just tack in my MII and try to have someone weld it in for me, but, I like many here, really want to try and do it all myself. But, I want to be safe. I am in no hurry, and will practice more, but can some of you more experienced welders out there tell me how theses look? I appreciate any pointers or suggestions, thanks all Phil... |
