Converting to front disk brakes

Im wanting to switch to front disk power brakes instead of the power drum brakes. I have the 6 lug factory setup and want to keep it 6 lug, I want to be able to keep my rally wheels and not have to purchase any new wheels.
Im not sure what all I need to do this. I know I can purchase a kit that includes everything im suppose to need, but im not familiar with what that consist of (I have seen different kits that seem to include different things). I see where you can get 2 1/2 drop spindles...etc, but dont know if thats what I need. My truck already seems to sit low so is there a kit that keeps it the same height as it is now? Also want to make sure the 6 lug kit that I use matches my current 6 lug setup. Sorry if these are newbie questions, but not really understanding everything I need to about the disk brake setup process.
