help with new rims
I'm an idiot when it comes to wheels and backspacing, tire size, etc.
Here is a pic of my truck currently: fronts are 235/60/15 on I think 15x7 rims rears are 255/60/15 on I think 15x8 I easily have close to 3" clearance on the inside of my rear tires right now FWIW. I'm thinking about switching to American Racing tor thrust 2s in 17" but the sizes are confusing me. here is my initial thoughts for a 17" setup: 17x9.5 rear with 5.5 backspacing 17x7 fronts with 4" backspacing With these fit without any cutting? I want to keep the nice big lip in the rear, with the rears give me that affect also? also, I think I read the biggest rear tire is a 295/65r15, whats that in a 17? I want to go for that "pro street" look with fat rears, but don't want to cut the truck |
