D44 spindle studs, anyone know where to find 'em?
Going through the Dana 44 in my 72. Tracked down seals, bearings, etc (no thanks to the people at all the parts stores in Durango; if it doesn't show on a computer system search it doesn't exist). One thing I cannot find, or even find mention of, is replacement spindle studs. I'm not sure if that's the correct name, but I'm talking about the studs that press into the knuckle, and that the spindle then bolts to. NOT talking about the wheel lug studs.
Four of mine have been broken or damaged. Three were replaced by someone/multiple someones in the past with bolts, which means they spin when you're trying to loosen them up. ![]() Does anyone know if, and where, I can find replacement studs to press in? This is for the small-bearing spindle (not the 73-up large-bearing type, if it matters for the studs). Thanks! ![]()
