Power window/door wiring
Swapped power doors onto my crew cab and all the wiring hooked right up color to color, nice and easy. The power locks at first only worked on the driver side, then I accidentally cut two wires together while working on the passenger side and hear what sounded like a fuse pop and the power locks no longer function. All the windows still work fine.
There is no fuse for the door lock solenoid it just has a plug that goes into the fuse block. I don't see any obvious circuit breakers anywhere. I tried running a constant power source the solenoid and still received no result, so the obvious conclusion would be that I burned the solenoid. Except when I first wired the passenger door I crossed two brown wires and when I would attempt to operate the passenger window from the driver side the power locks would attempt weakly to work. I can't find a replacement solenoid at any parts store and it's a PITA to take out at pick n pull so I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to troubleshoot the system to find my exact problem before I go swear at a junk pile in the wrecking yard.
