Starter

Well Starter ate it in the Burb. Got looking at the starters at Autozone. The rebuilt was $30 and the NEW was $90. both life time. Had them side by side and mounting point on both the remans was pretty hashed looking.

This is my wife and kids daily hauler. Last thing I wanted was any problems for them. Dropped the coin on the new one with the hope it would never leave them stranded.

Had so much bad luck with rebuilt anything from the chain stores in the past that I figured new might save me the typical hassel of them crapping out every 6 months.

It did spins over the 454 great. No fitment issues, no shims needed as promised by the sales clerk. The dead starter was not able to trun over the motor that fast even a couple months back. I did not charge the battery and this new one was no problem starting. That old starter was getting pretty weak apparently.

Anybody running these Dulast Gold starters have any comments on them?
