Hello from Arizona
I'm new to this cite but not new to restoring cars. I've always had an affinity for trucks from the years 1955 and up but never really paid any attention to older trucks.
Well I spotted this 1955 first series GMC about two years ago just sitting in the same spot in a guy's backyard. Well, last week I knocked on his door to take some pictures. He was cool and let me look her over pretty good. Anyway he called me over the weekend and said he would entertain an offer. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater The truck is currently licensed, runs and drives. It's a from New Mexico but I noticed rust in the front corners of the floor as well as the rear corners of the floor. Slight rust on the bottom of the right fender. The wood in the bed is out but all of the metal strips are available. With the exception of added lights to the rear, it's a complete truck and its 100% original. So I've been doing my homework and all sheet metal is available. I want to keep her all stock and just have fun with her after replacing the floor pan. I'm going to make him an offer this weekend but don't want to leave money on the table or insult him. Any opinions? Thank you in advance |
