Re: Billet 60-66 Door Handles
I really like the idea of a nice Billet handle, I would like to have a set on my build, its nice to see an American company doing something like this.
I do agree also with the comment that it is a bit disheartening to see a set of costly American made handles with no provision to be able to lock/unlock the door....that opens a whole new can of worms! An additional point that stands out in my head, and I will be devils advocate... 1) I whole heartedly understand the cost of billet aluminum, I understand the cost to program, set up and get this right for production runs, especially in limited quantities, so I see the cost involved...BUT, the piece to me looks to have a pretty "rough" finish, I have polished a box car full of Billet and cast aluminum car parts in my time and I would be willing to bet a little additional "Finish time" on those pieces and they would really look GREAT! Even the black finished set look pretty "rough" as far as material finish! With the above being said, if they were smooth finish, either satin or polished with a key lock setup, I'd be all in for a set! I like what they are doing, just seems to need a tiny bit of tweaking!
