Sloppy 4wd shifter

Still going over stuff on the GMC and getting a few things straightened out. Needed a new RVM, installed a new voltage reg., new battery terminals, added second battery to complete the dual batt. setup, etc. I noticed while checking things out that the 4wd shifter has a good deal of play in it both right/left and fwd/bkwd. It still shifts into all gears fine but it has a lot more play in it than the Chevy. The Chevy actually has zero play in it. I pulled the 4wd boot off and looked around in there and it looks like there is a 5/8 bolt holding the shifter pivot point to the tranny housing. The play looks to be coming from that pivot point but the bolt holding it on is tight.

Any feedback before I pull the shifter out to examine?
