How to crimp the end on a parking brake cable
Anyone know? I have a swedge tool (big bolt-cutter looking crimping tool) but when I crimped a standard aluminum ferrule on there, it got ripped off the first time I hit the park brake pedal. So that didn't work.
Are there steel or iron ferrules that actually work, or is that the wrong approach? Even tried to TIG one on and spike it, no luck. Has anyone successfully created their own custom-length parking brake cable?
