Picked up a new 1991 1500 Suburban today.
Hey Folks,
Just picked up this 1991 Chevrolet 1500 Suburban today. It looks bad from a distance but I think is going to clean up very nice. I originally thought I would use parts ( rear doors, gauge cluster, transfer case) for my daily driver (1988 V10 Suburban) and use the chassis for a custom van I have been wanting to build for a long time....but i'm thinking it is way too nice to part it out. It has 122K miles on it and was owned by emergency management before being sold to public about 10-12 years ago. It looks like it has been sitting for most of the last 10-12 years. It needs tires, an ignition switch, dash cover, rear door handle, some rubber and the A/C fixed...maybe just recharged?...., fluids changed and maybe a radiator along with a really good cleaning and a tune up. I will start with the cleanup and see what she looks like after that and make a decision. Lots to think about. Charlie
