It is obvious from looking at a few pictures that a decent amount of effort and money has been spent on this truck. Would I make the same build choices? Absolutely not. But someone built what they wanted, and it turned out "fair." I bet whoever built it likes it quite a bit.

Hard to really judge something like this without seeing it in person. It could be really nice, or a huge dangerous pile of ****. Hard telling.

It is not listed as all original restored or anything of the sort. These trucks do not have to be original to be nice.

I agree with your last sentence. But I don't think there's a whole bunch of just plain mean rudeness going on here. I'd bet that most of us making varying degrees of disparaging comments aren't "offended" by the idea of the build so much as by the idea that something that sure looks sketchy being listed for that price. Speaking for myself, it just seems ethically wrong, and pretty opportunistic.

The fact that it's being sold via a auto dealer is the number one reason I think the price is badly inflated - I so often see our trucks for sale at a dealer, with various major issues, at really-nice-truck prices. They just look online and see big dollar amounts on some very well done truck, then look at the thing they just purchased or took in on trade and figure they can get the same if the paint is decent.

The other reasons - the bed, tailgate obviously worked to mimic an original Super style, steering wheel, tach, pedals, cut dash - are just what's easy to see on the surface and point to some serious corners likely being cut in places not so easy to see.

I wasn't ragging on the person who did the build if that's what they truly wanted. But I am thinking that if they cobbled it together and painted it to sell at a huge profit, or if they traded it in and the dealership is expecting to make big bucks from someone who doesn't know better, that just isn't right.
