250 with a 1 barrel carburetor carb needs help

Just put a brand new 1 barrel on and it started right up but was 'floored'. i can't get the linkage right. I adjusted the 'wide' screw on the side (throttle i thought) and now it won't start even. i have a couple of photos of the carb set up. if you are willing may i email 1 or 2 pics of it to you so you can help me diagnose?
