Lockup switch for 700r4

I am changing my 350 turbo/np208 for a 700r4/np208 and my 700r4 trans has a manual lockup switch. Instead of placing a switch on the dash I may try to use my on/off button on my B&M shifter ball-- existing mega shifter. I had previously used it on a gearvender. Has anyone done this? I could put an indicator bulb somewhere also.
