1991 Chevy S10 starting issue

Hello I have a 91 s10 with the 2.8. Last 4 weeks or so I have noticed my truck has been causing me starting fits. It will usually start up just fine in the morning for work and run like normal. When I leave for work it starts up just as normal. But usually it will let me down at least one time. Will crank over and won't fire. Sometimes if I try it 3-4 times it will take off and run normal for 6-8 starts in a row and will eventually cause me fits. It has been a daily occurance. Today luckily it was in my driveway luckily where it wouldn't fire what so ever. I let it sit for a couple hours and went upon my day thinking I had fuel pump issues. Went back to the truck a couple hours later and it fired right up again and acting normal. I'm lost for words at the moment and not sure what to do. I don't want this problem to leave me stranded anywhere and would like to fix issue. My question is what is wrong and is there any tips or advice you could give me. Thanks
