Clutch replacement 62' C20

What would be the easiest or best way to replace the flywheel and clutch on 62' c20 with 4 speed manual transmission I have heard that I could replace the transmission bolts with longer ones to back the transmission off the bell housing but I don't believe that will work with the shifter coming threw the floor and no room for it to move back I really don't have a way to pull the motor at this point and was really hoping to b able to do it without Unbolting the motor for the bell housing any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
