my motor has a stuttering problem

the other day i drove to the store.came out fired up the 68 and it was running as if the choke was stuck(it wasnt),almost like it had a big came it .i got it home and hadnt messed with it till yesterday,i fired it up and it was running fine till today problems back.im guessing it might be the distibuter cap.maybe coil,plug wires.i dont want to go out and buy them all when it might be just one of them.whats your opinion.oh thanks
