Help identifying Driveshaft components
I'm working on a 71 C-10 400TH, 2WD. Full frame-off and until once done, everything is a mystery to me. Ask me if I've ever so much as drained a differential?
Anyway, next up is the driveshaft and axles, so I'm trying to determine how to approach disassembly. Problem is, I don't know the proper names (or even "code names" yikes), which makes things a tad complex. Anyway, here are three images with 10 areas of the driveshaft, with captions. The captions are numbered, which hopefully makes things easier. Any help appreciated. Thank you. Images have been updated, thanks to board help.
