It's generally best to test things using standard test procedures before changing parts.
Take out the sending unit, ground it, turn on the key and work the float up and down to see if the gauge moves. If it doesn't move test the sending unit resistance Taking the wire off the sending unit, no input to gauge should cause gauge to move to 3 o clock position. |
