identifying current 63 front suspension/disc brakes

hello, I bought my 63 short bed with disc brake conversion already done and was wondering how to id what was used as far as spindles and such. I would like to know if they are drop spindles or not and what springs were used. if I pull a tire could I tell by measuring the spring or pulling the rotor and checking spindle ? it's chewing up the tires so I know I need to do something this winter but don't want to spend money for something already there. thanks
