Good price on Carb?
Hello all, Just made a 1500 mile trip from TX to PA in my 72. At 130 miles from destination I started smelling fuel. When I stopped at a rest area it died and I almost did not get it started. I am pretty sure the floats stuck open and was flooding. I was able to get it the rest of the way home but it flat out would not idle, then all of a sudden about 40 miles from destination it was all fine and runs great.
I need a new carb anyways, even though this one works fine (most of the time) the filter housing on the front is buggered up and the housing needs to be replaced on the carb side. Does anyone have a rebuilt they want to sell or know of a good shop that has rebuilt carbs reasonable? I found some on Amazon for 300 shipped. Seems fairly reasonable since they are 400 on Ebay. Anyone?
