Greetings
I'm currently in the process of getting a 79 250 C10 engine running again. It's got the integrated 2bbl head that someone adapted a Quadrajet to. I can get it to start and fast idle but realize that it's just too much carb for the engine so I'm not wasting any time getting it to work right. After an unsuccessful search for adapters for other 2bbl carbs I'm going back to a 2SE Varajet which I expect any day now. Seems an air cleaner to fit the 2SE is a rare gem too.
The engine isn't in a C10 but in a 49 GMC and was missing quite a few parts that I'm slowly acquiring. Serial, date and production codes ID'ed the engine to the C series. It ran pretty good when I got it started so I'm motivated to make it work right. Any and all info shared is welcomed. Dave |
