Ramps with a Stepside Tailgate / Chains

Will a 1972 Stepside Tailgate support the use of ramps to roll stuff in and out of the bed??

I'd be supporting 650#s + 240#s for my fat a$$.

I'm thinking not but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Removing the tailgate, and putting the ramps onto the bed, might work if there is a quick release process to get the tailgate on and off.

Thoughts?
