Question on an LMC Part for the rear bumper. . .

. . . I think.

It's #27 and #28. . . called "DEFLECTOR."

I am in the middle of a bumper install, flip down license plate and hidden gas cap. . . and was wondering what these DEFLECTORS are for and where are they actually installed?

Anyone have a photo of them installed on your square? Trying to decide if I need these or if it's a waste of $26. . .
