Wheels & Tires Vs. Drop Size

Hi Guys, So I've got a question for my 68 Chevy Short Bed. I'd like to run 275 or 285 tires all the way around with probably a 4/6 drop... can I run 18x9 or 18x10's Front & Rear for rotational purposes? what Back Spacing would probably be best? What tire profile/series ... 40, 45, 50, 55 ?? I'd like to be in between a corner carving tire & a lumber hauling side wall .... like a Daily Driving Muscle Truck ..... Give me some wisdom & advise you truck gurus ....
