700r4 column shift rod length needed

Hi,

can someone please give me the measurements of the shift rod from the steering column to the shift mechanism on a 700r4. I believe mine has been shortened somehow. I put my steering column back in my truck and my shift rod is about 1-1.5"s to short. I dont remember ever grinding the bottom of the rod off but it looks like it has been. Pictures attached.

Anyway, if I can get a measurement on an original rod i can tell if my rod has actually been shortened or i have something else going on.
