Engine Mounting
My engine is mounted far back on the frame. I know it's supposed to be on the first set of mounting holes but the guy that put the engine in said that it would be fine the way it is. My girlfreinds truck is like that also. Will this cause any major problems in the long run to my engine or anything else?
The only thing I see visually wrong is that the distributer is a little far back and the spark plug cables are a little cramped. Also the linkage to the transmission from the column had to be adjusted, but nothing else. My girlfreinds father (both have 63's)said that on my 68 it might be a problem with the fire wall being so close. Thats about it. Let me know ya'll. It's a 307...if you need to know.
