Oil and coolant mixed
I have a a inline 6 230 in a 65 c10. Was sitting since the 80s in a barn I was told. I got the truck running with fresh fluids. After a while of messing with it, the truck started shooting (pulsating) water out of the radiator with out the cap off. So I figured it was a blown head gasket. There was no coolant in oil or oil in coolant at that time. So I decided since the engine had good compression and I'm doing a budget build I would pull engine, clean every thing up with fresh gaskets and paint. Got every thing back together and fire it up. my new thermostat stuck shut an the engine over heated it while I was adjusting carbertor and timing. That resulted in coolant in my oil and oil in my coolant. I took the engine apart and it dont seem that the head gasket is noticeably blown. Did not see no cracks in cylinder wall or head. Any suggestion on where the are mixing at?
