1964 stepside C10 with a 6.2
Hi all,
Im building a 64 c10 with a 6.2 L99+6L80. So the wife and I purchase the truck in 2017 because we wanted to build an old hotrod truck. Shes a big fan of step sides and found us a deal on craigslist. The engine/trans/ecu/everything under the hood is from a salvaged 2011 camaro SS with 50k miles on it. I replaced the stock cam with a stage 1 VVT-1.2 cam, DoD delete, phaser limiter, pushrods, dual valve springs, lifters, all from Texas Speed. The rear diff was a mess, and I knew it had to be replaced... and the price for a used 5th gen camaro subframe/diff was only $300, so I had the dumb idea of modifying the frame for independent rear suspension. I replaced the front suspension with a Fatman Fabrications bolt-in mustang 2 front end power rack and pinion. The frame has been modified for the rear IRS, I hope it doesnt suck |
