Since you are using an updated harness it sounds like you might be designing a system that has a few more circuits than the factory had. I ran into this problem with AAW's Classic Update Kit. I wound up having to use a Delphi 22-pin firewall connector for the extra circuits. I later thought about if it would have been better to use a later model harness that has the fuse box/junction block assembly. There are more than twice the number of terminals available to wire in more circuits.

A bit more of a PITA to do that but I think the end result would have been a cleaner look.
