double checking Power steering pump
Hi all,
i've driven my truck for about 3 hours in total since i got it assembled. Finding little things that i need to sort out. I have an pertronix ignition box and i fed it from the ignition key -turned out that i had too much voltage losses in the wiring so i put that on a relay which made it much easier to start the truck. I just noticed that my power steering pump is leaking fluid and i think it needs to be replaced. its the 48 year old original power steering pump. The leak is at the rear of the pump where the fitting to the hose is located at and i'm pretty sure i can't fix it as is.. Can someone double check that i am ordering the right part for my truck? http://www.truckandcarshop.com/trucks60_72/t60_140.html Part number 63-12401 I have a 72 GMC Jimmy 4x4 with a stock 350 and AC. The reason why i am asking is because it doesn't state explicitly it is for my truck and i want to make sure as i hope to get it sorted during the week. |
