47-55.1 52 Chevy Water Pump and Oil Filter?

Still working on this 52. Last week I ordered a new water pump and oil filter along with a fuel tank and some other minor parts. I ordered everything for a 52 but what I received does not match what is on the truck. I don't know if the engine is original to the truck. I'm hoping one of you knowledgeable fellows can identify what I need to order and what year the engine actually is.

An additional question for you guys about the oil canister. Should the oil drain out of the canister on its own, because it didn't.
